Hanna Shybayeva

Having begun her international career at the age of eleven, Hanna Shybayeva has transformed from a child prodigy to a mature and exciting musician. Shybayeva has released numerous critically acclaimed albums on labels such as Philips, Etcetera and Brilliant Classics. In November 2016 she was the first classical musician to participate in the Studio Konzert Limited Edition vinyl series of the Bauer Studios/NEUKLANG with the release of her first LP.

Born into a family of musicians, Shybayeva began her piano education at the age of six. She won many international prizes and performed at many festivals, as well as giving solo recitals and concert-performances with orchestras around the world. Shybayeva was awarded grants from UNESCO/New Names (Moscow), the George Soros Foundation, the Vladimir Spivakov International Charity Foundation, the Youri Egorov Foundation, Yamaha Music Europe and the Prince Bernhard Culture Fund. Shybayeva studied for a Master of Music at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague with Naum Grubert.

She has been a member of contemporary music group the New European Ensemble since 2008, and created chamber music project Symphonic Intimacy with the Ysaÿe String Trio in the same year. She also performs as part of a piano duo with Italian jazz pianist and composer Gianluca di Ienno. Since 2013 Hanna has held a position as piano professor at the International Music Academy Anton Rubinstein, Düsseldorf and the Conservatorio Giacomo Puccini, La Spezia.
