Jean Lensen (1883 - 1943)

A similar career to Hubert Mouton’s was enjoyed by Jean Lensen, violinist and conductor, also a Walloon from the province of Liège. Violinist-conductor in various salon orchestras, in 1905 he moved first to Paris and then to London, where he was finally first violinist of the most famous English salon orchestra: the Savoy Orpheans. He also made records and composed a few hits, before ending his career in the United States and London again.
