Simon Laks (1901 - 1983)

Simon (Szymon) Laks had formerly worked as violin accompanist for silent films, and he had also some jazz-influenced compositions to his name, particularly a (now lost) Blues symphoniques Jazz Fantasy for orchestra and saxophone (1928), a Sonate pour violoncelle et piano (1932) and a piano Blues, undated, but most probably from around the same period.
